STRATEGIC MARKETING CONSULTANCY
Good marketing doesn't have to be your job. But it does have to be someone's.
Senior marketing expertise and hands-on support for growing businesses that need someone to take the lead.
I work alongside you to develop the right marketing strategy, set priorities and make sure the work gets done, without the cost or commitment of employing a senior marketer.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Your business has grown, but has your marketing kept up?
When you're running a growing business, marketing can easily become another responsibility on an already long list.
Perhaps you're still making most of the decisions yourself, or you've got people helping with different parts of the marketing, but nobody bringing it all together.
The result is often plenty of activity, but not enough direction, consistency or understanding of what's actually working.
You don't necessarily need a full-time marketing director or a big agency. You need someone experienced who can take ownership, make the right decisions and keep things moving.
SUPPORT SHAPED AROUND YOUR BUSINESS
What I can help with
The right mix of support will depend on your business, your priorities and what you already have in place.
Strategy and planning
Regular strategy sessions to agree on priorities, plan activities, and make sure your marketing supports your business goals.
LinkedIn content
Planning, creating and managing LinkedIn content that builds visibility with the right audience, without it constantly sitting on your to-do list.
Launch and campaign support
Planning and delivering marketing campaigns to promote new services, reach the right people and generate opportunities.
Email marketing
Creating and managing regular emails that nurture relationships, keep your business front of mind and encourage enquiries.
Website and content
Reviewing and improving your website messaging, content and customer journey so visitors understand what you offer and how to take the next step.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Is this right for your business?
This is for established businesses that are ready to take their marketing more seriously but don't need, or aren't ready for, a full-time senior marketing hire.
You might be a consultancy, professional services firm, technology business or growing SME. Perhaps marketing still sits with the business owner, or you have people helping with different activities but nobody taking responsibility for the bigger picture.
You need someone experienced who can bring direction, make sensible decisions about where to invest your time and budget, and make sure the marketing actually happens.
START WITH THE FOUNDATIONS
First, we get the strategy right
Before we start delivering marketing activity, I take time to understand your business, your customers, your commercial goals and what's already working.
Through conversations with you and your team, and a review of your existing marketing, I'll identify the opportunities, gaps and priorities.
At the end of the first month, you'll have a clear strategic direction and a recommended plan for moving forward. We'll then agree the ongoing support needed to put it into practice.
What changes when someone takes ownership of your marketing?
01
Consistency
Your marketing no longer depends on how busy you or your team happen to be. There's a plan, someone taking responsibility for delivering it, and a consistent presence that keeps your business in front of the right people.
02
Direction
Marketing decisions are made with your wider business goals in mind. You know where you're focusing your efforts, why those activities matter and how they fit together, rather than investing in disconnected campaigns and content.
03
Commercial impact
Your marketing starts doing more than keeping you visible. It's building awareness with the right audiences, creating opportunities for conversations and enquiries, and making a measurable contribution to business growth.
“One of Katie's standout strengths is her ability to take complex technical concepts and turn them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with customers and stakeholders. She quickly became a trusted advisor, bringing commercial insight, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to every project.”

THE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
What working together looks like
Strategy and practical support, scoped around what your business needs.
We work as partners
I'll get to know your business, your team and your priorities, working closely with you rather than operating as a disconnected external supplier.
You get senior expertise and practical delivery.
I'll take the lead on your marketing strategy, agree priorities with you and manage the delivery, bringing in specialist support where needed.
You know what's happening and why.
We'll review progress regularly, discuss what's working and adjust our approach as your business evolves. You'll have visibility of what's being done without needing to manage it all yourself.
YOUR MARKETING PARTNER
Why work with me?
I've spent over 25 years working in marketing, from hands-on delivery to leading strategy for established B2B businesses.
That experience means I can look at your marketing in the context of your wider business, challenge what's not working and help you make sensible decisions about where to invest your time and budget.
You'll work directly with me, getting senior-level thinking without the complexity of bringing in a full-time marketing director or managing an agency.

Support scoped around your business
Strategic Foundations
We start by understanding your business, reviewing your current marketing and developing a clear strategy and priorities for moving forward.
This can be a standalone project or the first stage of an ongoing working relationship.
Ongoing marketing support — from £2,000 per month
Once the strategy is agreed, I can take responsibility for putting it into practice, combining senior marketing expertise with practical delivery.
Ongoing support is tailored to your business, with an initial six-month commitment.
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Your questions answered
If there's something not covered below, just drop me an email at katie@hive-social.co.uk, and I'll come back to you.
-
We start with a strategic foundations phase, where I get to know your business, review your existing marketing and develop a clear direction and plan.
Once we move into ongoing support, a typical month might include a planning session, LinkedIn content, email marketing and campaign activity. The exact mix depends on your priorities and the scope we agree.
-
Absolutely. The initial strategy work can be a standalone project, giving you a clear direction and practical recommendations to take forward yourself.
If you'd like me to help put the strategy into practice, we can then agree an ongoing working relationship.
-
Six months. Marketing takes time to build momentum, and anything shorter doesn't give us enough runway to see real results. Most clients continue beyond six months once they see what consistent, strategic activity produces.
-
More at the beginning, while I'm getting to know your business and developing the strategy.
Once we're into delivery, we'll have regular planning and review conversations, with input from you when needed. You'll stay involved in the important decisions without having to manage the day-to-day activity.
-
Ongoing marketing support starts from £2,000 per month, with an initial six-month commitment.
Strategic Foundations can also be commissioned as a standalone project. I'll provide a tailored proposal once we've discussed what your business needs.
-
Just get in touch and tell me a little about your business and what you're looking for help with.
We'll have an initial conversation to explore what you need and whether working together makes sense.
WHAT DOES YOUR MARKETING NEED TO DO NEXT?
Tell me a little about your business and what you'd like your marketing to achieve. I'll get back to you personally and we can explore the best way forward.
